Itβs officially the great pumpkin season π the great pumpkin patch inspired brownies with oreo cookie βdirtβ, pumpkin marshmallows, & a linus figurine
makes a 8x8β great pumpkin patch brownie (9 pieces)
ingredients
brownies
your favorite brownie mix - i used ghirardelli double chocolate brownie mix
additional ingredients needed for your brownie mix (on back of box) - i used 1 egg, 1/4 cup water, & 1/3 cup vegetable oil
oreo cookie dirt
a couple oreo cookies, crushed
pumpkin marshmallows
tools
large mixing bowl
whisk
8x8β metal pan lined with parchment paper
wire rack
large kitchen knife
optional: food processor
small bowl
steps
make the brownie: follow the directions on your brownie mix box
preheat oven to 325f
in a large mixing bowl, whisk together 1 egg, 1/4 cup water, & 1/3 cup vegetable oil until well mixed
add in brownie mix and whisk until smooth
fill 8x8 metal pan with brownie batter and smooth it out
bake for 40 minutes, until surface is shiny and puffed and the center is dry to the touch but still soft when pressed. do not overbake !
let brownies cool completely
assemble the great pumpkin patch brownies: once brownies are cool, sprinkle crushed oreo cookies all over brownies. using a large kitchen knife, gently cut brownie into 9 even pieces (3 cuts horizontally & vertically). top each brownie square with a pumpkin marshmallow (for 8) and top 1 brownie square with a linus figurine (optional)
