snoopy s’mores.

it’s s’mores season !!! s’mores made with snoopy shaped homemade graham crackers, milk chocolate, large s’more marshmallows 🤎

makes about 5 large snoopy s’mores



ingredients

  • snoopy graham crackers (full recipe credits to the kitchn)

    • 1 cup (113g) whole-wheat flour, plus extra for surface

    • 1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose flour

    • 1/3 cup (65g) granulated sugar

    • 1/4 tsp baking powder

    • 1/4 tsp baking soda

    • a dash of cinnamon

    • 3/4 tsp kosher salt

    • 1 stick (8 tbsps, 113g) cold unsalted butter, cut into small cubes

    • 2 tbsps (40g) honey

    • 1 tbsp (15g) whole milk

    • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 3 bars of milk chocolate (preferably hershey’s)

  • 5 jumbo marshmallows

steps

  1. make the snoopy graham cracker dough: in a medium bowl, whisk 1 cup (113g) whole-wheat flour, 1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose flour, 1/3 cup (65g) granulated sugar, 1/4 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp baking soda, a dash of cinnamon, & 3/4 tsp kosher salt together

  2. in a separate small bowl/cup, whisk 2 tbsps (40g) honey, 1 tbsp (15g) milk, & 1 tsp vanilla extract together. set aside

  3. add cold butter cubes into dry ingredients from step 1, then smoosh butter cubes and rub flour into butter cubes with your fingers until butter cubes are very small and butter is well combine with flour

  4. add in wet ingredients from step 2, then combine with a spatula until a soft dough forms

  5. roughly divide graham cracker dough into half, about 200g each, and form into a rough disk. wrap each graham cracker dough with plastic wrap and chill for at least 2 hours or overnight in the fridge

  6. on a slightly floured parchment paper (use whole-wheat flour), place graham cracker dough and sprinkle some whole-wheat flour on top of graham cracker dough. place another piece of parchment paper on top and roll out graham cracker dough, about 1/4”-1/8” thick. transfer parchment paper to a large baking sheet and chill for at least 30 minutes in the fridge. repeat with other graham cracker dough

  7. once thoroughly chilled, using a large snoopy cookie cutter, cut out as many snoopys as possible from graham cracker dough - i was able to make about 10 snoopys, i combined excess dough a couple of times to create more snoopys

  8. place snoopys on baking sheet lined with parchment paper. freeze for another 30 minutes before baking

  9. preheat oven to 350f

  10. bake for 10 minutes, then rotate baking sheet inside oven and bake for another 8 minutes until snoopys are deep golden brown

  11. once baked, let snoopy graham crackers sit on baking sheet for 5 minutes. then transfer snoopy graham crackers to a wire rack and let cool completely

  12. assemble the snoopy s’mores: toast marshmallow with your preferred method - i put a marshmallow on a skewer and toasted it on my gas stovetop fire. you can use the oven or microwave (place chocolate & marshmallow on top of snoopy graham cracker, then microwave for a couple seconds)

  13. place a snoopy graham cracker on a plate. then place a generous size of milk chocolate (i used half a milk chocolate bar). then place toasted marshmallow. top with another snoopy graham cracker, press gently

  14. enjoy!
